A stove and cooker specialist which has been trading across the Westcountry for more than 40 years has expanded with the launch of a new venture in Exeter.
Hearth & Cook by Rangemoors will showcase high end stoves and range cookers in a new showroom at Matford business park which represents an investment of more than £200,000 by the firm.
Rangemoors, which already has a 6,000sq ft showroom in Winkleigh, launched Hearth & Cook after spotting a gap in the market. Managing Director Andrew Baker said “Rangemoors has such a long and impressive history selling stoves and range cookers and recently we’ve seen the European trends for very top end, premium statement appliances filter through to us. Our Winkleigh location is extensive, but we’re also focused on further expansion into the South and East of Devon and the new Exeter location facilitates this more easily and allows us to deliver a very upmarket product offering.”
Hearth & Cook displays more than 35 appliances, including working models from manufacturers including Morso, La Cornue and ESSE, employing six permanent staff, including two designers from Devon-baseed Ashgrove Kitchens.
“For more than a decade Rangemoors has worked alongside Ashgrove Kitchens and we are delighted they’ve partnered us at Hearth & Cook to display their range of hand crafted kitchens,” said Andrew.
The opening of Hearth & Cook is a significant milestone for Rangemoors as the business expands into new areas. It’s also an exciting opportunity for Exeter as now there’s access to a number of world-class brands for the first time right here in the Westcountry.”
Leading Danish stove designers and manufacturers Morso have selected Hearth & Cook as the major distributor of their stoves in the Westcountry and the Exeter showroom is the only location in the region with such an extensive range of Morso’s traditional and contemporary cast iron stoves.
Hearth & Cook have also been chosen by premium French range cooker manufacturer La Cornue to be an exclusive dealer of its cookers. The Exeter showroom will showcase the largest display of La Cornue appliances outside London.
British range cooker manufacturers ESSE has also chosen to showcase their collection of traditional classic range cookers at Hearth & Cook.
Hearth & Cook aims to cater for industry professionals as well as consumers and there are plans to develop the first floor of its two-storey building to showcase more products as the business evolves in 2016.
The chef-owners of Exeter’s newest culinary offering, the Exeter Cookery School joined the directors of Rangemoors and Hearth & Cook to celebrate the opening of the new showroom. Professional chefs will feature regularly at Hearth & Cook’s series of exclusive events, masterclasses and chef demonstrations.
